Default Power Window Problems '74 Coupe

At the end of last season I had new power window motors installed...all was fine til y'day, it seems the driverside window became disengaged with the motor. The motor spins but the glass stays stays in place. I just took the door apart and if I push the window glass down, it engages with the motor but will only rise to about 1 inch from the bottom of the roof, large gap. I have been trying to adjust the window but without success. When I get the window up where it should be, the motor won't engage the glass. Any suggestions??

Power window motor must engage the teeth on the regulator. Sounds like your motor may have eaten the teeth off the regulator or stripped the gear on the motor.

Be very careful inside the door; the door glass can fall on it's own and it's heavy enough to do serious damage to fingers and hands.
