Today my signal lights on the driver side stopped flashing. Both front and back light up and thats it.
I went to the parts store and purchased a new flasher. I installed the new flasher and still not working, only the passenger side lights flash.
Does anyone here have an idea where i should be looking next to solve this issue?
Would like to hear from you if so.
I just tried my emergency lights.... they didn't work!!!
To make matters worse, now i have no signal lights at all. My vette is now not drivable and that sucks big time as the weather is beautiful!!
HELP PLEASE.
You'll need a wiring diagram and start tracing wires back from the lights until you reach power. That will tell you what section the problem is in. It's possible that it's in the column blinker switch.
Need more information to really help you. What year is your car? Headlights working? Tail lights working? brake lights working? park lights working? Is it just the blinkers that are not working? Blinker indicators in the dash working but the outside lights are not? etc...
I know this may sound silly, but on some of my old GM cars and trucks, the bulb itself was bad and after it was replaced the flashers worked again. You should try that inexpensive way first. It couldn't hurt, right?
Thanks to all that replied to my thread.
The problem has been solved. Hazard light switch was not fully disengaged and there was also a bad bulb.
All is good again.
