Do you have an oil leak anywhere under the car?
If you are going through that much, there should be oil somewhere that is dripping. If not, you are probably sucking oil through the engine. Valve stems seals or guides.
Mine did the same thing until I bought a new engine this year. Don't lose a drop now. One of these days I'll take the old engine apart and see what was going on.
Are you burning oil or losing oil? Neither is good but burning it is worse than leaking it. If you are burning oil (plugs are oil fouled), it's time for an engine rebuild. If you are losing oil, it's time to find and fix the leak.
Before you start replacing things have a compression check done.
Might be rings. Wipe your finger on the exhaust pipe tips should be just black carbon soot. If oily then rings or guides are worn.
Might be as simple as valve stem seals as mentioned, but if they are leaking then you probably have wear problems as well.
Did you look under the car for leaks? Could be gaskets. But if it is worse at higher rpms then probably rings, guides, or seals.
I know I have a leaky rear main crank seal and I go through about a quart in 500 miles. When I take it on the interstate for any length of time at 65-70MPH it's a little more. There is always a little puddle of oil on my garage floor the next day after I drive it. Changing the seal and pan gasket will be my next project this winter.
