Newby, need advice

Sorry, I searched, but need help. I'm looking at a 77 vette, that he says has a factory wide body??? It has wider fender flares than stock and a rear spoiler. any thoughts? The rear frame is solid, but I saw the "body supports"?? near the reaer of the doors, were rusting. Any advise before buying would be appreciated !!!! Steve

No " Factory " wide body.
They have been added at some point. If he is f.o.s about that, you should wonder about anything else that comes out of his mouth.

C'mon gents... the widebodies might not be your taste but just because it's a kit build there's no reason to dump on it until we get more particulars and some photos. It may be well executed and have lots of "go fast" goodies as well. The current owner might just be parroting what the builder told him, or may simply not know it's not factory.

I would seriously consider a Greenwood or Eckler's car done up well with good suspension, a 5 or 6 speed and a healthy small block... cars like this tend to be good deals from a "bang for buck" standpoint since full customs are a tough sell.
