There must have been a family of elves that worked in St Louis building these things! At one point, I was on my back, with my feet sticking out of the t-top with a flashlight in my mouth!
Is that barrier on the floorfor sound and heat? What is your opinion of it? I am at the stage of putting my interior in as well. Do you reccomend the Dynamat? What about the rest of you guys. Comments please.

Sound barrier....Reflixit (heat barrier) going in on top of it before the carpet...
Seems like a high quality product but I haven't got it on the road yet....
Many member here say it makes a HUGE difference...so here's hoping !
Do you need to take the steering column out first to remove the tach and speedo side of the dash?
Not absolutely necessary but I find it easier to just get it out of the way completely. Once you have removed it a time or two, it can be done fairly quickly.
If you don't remove the column completely, you'll need to lower it but don't let it hang with the under-dash bolts removed, you can damage the column. I think it is best to disconnect from the firewall and the rag joint before lowering.
Some guys have had luck just loosening the under-dash bolts to gain enough clearance to remove the dash. I wasn't able to that on my '73.
