Correct Trim Rings For 1970
Hi everyone...there are so many variations of rally wheel trim rings out there...stepped inner edge, no stepped inner edge, etc.
What would have come on a 1970 from the factory? Any stepped edge action?

Hi B,
I believe the 70 production line trim rings have:
One of the 4 clips aligned with the hole for the valve stem.
The steel band the 4 clips are fastened to is flat.
The 4 clips are spot welded to the band.
The ring is polished stainless steel and flash chrome plated.
I don't think the 68-72 ring used in production was ever available as a service part.

Alan has described and posted pix exactly like the original trim rings on my '70.
PS for new members, if Alan tells says a grasshopper can pull a boxcar, start looking for a rope.
