I have never done weatherstrip before so if there is a thread explaining the do's and don'ts I'd love to read it. Don't want to make any mistakes with having to glue it in. I can't just look at what and where the old stuff is since it's not even there Thanks!
Hi AS,
There have been some pretty extensive threads about weatherstrip installation. Try member GD70.
From my experience it's a good idea to trial/dry fit EVERTHING using painter's tape first. Then go back and glue it in place a small section at a time.
It's also a good idea to have the AIM handy so you can see where the many fasteners and clips go.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
thanks Alan, I do have the AIM so I'll see if I can find the page/section where it describes installing weatherstrip. Will also see if I can't track down the thread from GD70

Weatherstripping is in several places in the AIM. Windshield section for those; door section for door mains and window wipes, decklid sections for convertibles; t-tops for coupes, hood, etc.
apply a thin layer of adhesive on both surfaces, give it a minute to get tacky, then apply a nice bead and set it into place. use tape to hold it in proper position.

So doing the doors sounds like it's going to be a real challenge... Thanks
Thanks Mike. I did get the WS on today except the A pillar, the blowout clips that are riveted to it how do you get that off, I imagine the dremell will do the job but then how do you reconnect the new ones - new rivets?
