Yes, both of my jeep Libertys are in the drive way.
The Vette is in the garage with the door open.
Best thing is my next door neighbors kid is on their rider cutting the grass and has a smoke in one hand and a beer or pop in the other.
Printed out the pic and showed him, kid was freaking out.
Actually saw one of the trucks that does this in Indy a few years ago, it has a large dome on the top of it. Guy has a pre designated route he follows at about 20-25 mph he said. The camera automatically captures the footage and stores it.
Technology has it's place, but if the satellite can find your C3, so can any one looking at the pics. Some of the poeple looking will not be on your friends list.
Thats where its all wrong.
I had a car appraised one time and they said "what do you want on the worth line"?
Well I now had a $5000 car appraised at $10000 and soon afterwards sold it because I showed the potential buyer the appraisal and he paid that amount.
If I was an insurance agent and someone made a claim and I looked it up and saw that amount I would get employee of the month because it would be a cold day in hell someone would get $27000 for a non chrome bumper C3.
You can only insure the car for it's "Agreed Value" if the insurance company agrees with the appraisal- It's got to be within reason and within their own guidelines.
You can't insure a bone stock 75' Vette (just an example here) for 150K, no matter what it's appraised for or it's condition. It's just not realistic.
Some companies will work with you and agree to a somewhat inflated value (again, within reason) but your premiums will reflect that inflated figure. There is no free lunch in the car insurance world.
Remember, insurance companies are in business to make money first and foremost- They will not assume a bad risk unless there is something in it for them. If you think you can buy a 15K 'driver' and insure it for 50K, you're dreaming.
Google Street View caught a random stranger standing at the door of our home. Neither my wife nor I can think of anyone we know who drives the white SUV parked in our driveway. Creepy, huh?
I had a charter job one day and my house is on a direct line between the bus depot and the pickup point. I had about an hour before the pick up so went home and parked the coach in the street outside my house while I had a coffee and checked my e-mails. Guess when the aerial Google photo was taken?
So it was real easy to find my house in the sky view on Google Maps after that, just look for a 40 foot long white rectangle in the street. LOL.
When I lived in California, Google had a shot that showed my 2003 Cavalier parked behind my 1994 Cavalier which I only had for a couple of weeks...didn't have the know-how or time to get it running.
