Front Swaybilizer Bar Question.
1968 - Small block.
The factory front ant-sway (stabilizer) bar was used on what years.
My instinct says 63-82 with small block only. But for all know they changed somewhere.
I put a heavier one on - and want to sell the factory one on Fleabay.
But I'd like to make sure I specify the correct years that would apply to a restoration project.

Are you speaking of the steering 'damper'? If so, I think that was '68 only.

No - I mean the sway bar.
Or better put
anti -sway bar.
Also known as a stabilizer bar.

I know they all have one - I just wanted to know what years have
mine .
And I'm not going to throw it away....
You can bet that somewhere out there is a guy (with a small block) trying to
undo what I just did to my car.

Except to anyone who might be looking for one.
Clams: if it's a standard small block front bar, it was used 68-74.

That's more like it!
I have all the original brackets and bolts and linkage to go with it.
As a follow up - are we sure that the same part wasn't used
before 1968?

yes, but unless Clams bar is in MINT condition with no pitting on it, someone restoring a car that needs a new swaybar will buy a brand new swaybar..
they are only around $130.00 brand new.

I don't sell books. I read books. When I read books, I learn things. I used that book to answer your question about your sway bar.
