Tail Pipe Options
Looking for different exhaust pipe options. The one word I want people to use when describing the car is "sinister." I don't want it to be loud when cruising. I love chrome, not in love with the stock look. Anyone know where I can see some options?

What would be amazingly helpful Arthur, would be to know what year Corvette you have - - then I'm sure some specific suggestions can follow.

Well, imo. There is nothing that looks more sinister on a C3 than a set of Hooker style side pipes. Not that quiet though.

Those tips look great Irc89!
Did you have to do anything funky to get them lined up? What mufflers are you using?

Exhaust pipes or tail pipes? The 80-82 models do not have much of a tail pipe to work with.
The aftermarket providers carry tips.

I've always liked the 70-72 chrome square bezel.
Not a direct fit and unfortunately will take some work with a jigsaw, then cutoff the curved downpipe and add the chrome square pipe extension.

I think i like that TA style look-it's classy. The 68-72 look is cool, is that even practical on an 80-82?

Full twin system with the standard rears turned on their sides and slipped up into the space behind the rear wheel arches. This allows a short tail pipe with off the shelf Trans Am tips. Of course, the tips are rolled outwards in true Trans Am style.
No converters, pollution gear or front mufflers and she sounds great.

No. Through 73, tail pipes exited through the rear panel. Beginning with the 74s, tail pipes exited under/behind the bumper cover.

I'm glad I went through the trouble of building my LS1 sidepipes. I hope that when I get it started and running it'll make my car just a bit more unique than most of the other swap cars.
But to me there's nothing more sinister than a flamethrower kit with sidepipes
I'll leave the flames off of mine...for a while at least.

I think the side pipes look best on the chrome bumper cars. They are wicked. Is there an aftermarket site that has tip options?
