Radio Holes
I recently installed a radio in the glove compartment of my 1981. I got one of those models with no CD player or tape deck so it is small and fits nicely within the limited confines. But now, what do I do with those ugly holes that are left in my dash board where the old radio was? Has anyone come up with a clever idea to cover them up? I understand that radio delete plates are as rare as hen's teeth and very expensive if you are lucky enough to find one. But surely there must be an alternative especially if one is not a stickler for originality. Is anyone able to help with a suggestion? It would be much appreciated.

Hi, Pardon my ignorance but a sheet metal brake is a tool that bends sheet metal, right? So you made a plate that fits over the entire area? Did you install it from the back or from the front? What did you use to attach it to the gauge faceplate? I wish you had a picture.
