Default Used t Tops

I am restoring a 1978 and need some new t tops. Where are all the cheap used ttops? All the options I have looked at are about the price of new.

I have a couple of sets I'd like to see leave the garage. I'd sell them reasonably, too, but I think they are 1974 or 1976 tops (I'll check the dates tomorow afternoon) and I'm thinking there are differences between early and later ones. Maybe someone can chime in.

I believe 78 to 82 are interchangable

I believe its 77 but I'm looking for a set as well that I can use to replace the glass tops while the car is being painted...a slave set.

I'm pretty sure its 78-82 but the later ones can be put on the earlier cars and vice versa if some of the locking hardware is swapped.

Cheap t-tops were at Bloomington Gold this summer. I bought a pair (fiberglass) for $16 as I was leaving the show late Sat. afternoon when most of the vendors were packing up. That's when I always go back and see if guys will let parts go cheap -- and usually they do. T-tops were not on my list, but there are times when I'd like to have a fiberglass set. I made the mistake (or fortune?) of looking at a pair that said 'make offer'. This vendor spotted me and wouldn't let me leave w/o buying them. We sparred back/fourth in a fun way untill we settled on $16. It was actually really fun bantering back and fourth and made for a great finish to a good 2012 B/G, the last year at 'Pheasant Run'. The tops aren't pristine. They need to be painted (no big deal) and the liners are missing, and one has a boogered up gasket (which I already had a spare for)

So, if anyone has a set of liners for late C3 tops they'd like to sell for cheap, I'd be greatful!

I have used fiberglass panels.. 100.00 a pair.. The liners are decent but need the vinyl glued back on them... it's pulling off. For a spot they will work ok.

They just came in on the red car we cut up. I know I have 1 pair.. i'll have to check if more is needed. I usually take the trim, latches and all other parts off them and sell those items separate. But I've not had time to do anything with the red tops so they still sit as they came in.
