Default Original 1969 sidepipes.

I was at a friends place today and he has a set of '69 GM sb sidepipes still in the original box. They have never been installed. What are they worth? Doesn't have the shields.

Hi gdh,
My understanding is that the production line pipes had a couple of mfg stamps and perhaps an extra 'tab' on them.
1969 era pipes are quite valuable to owners of 69 cars with the N14 option.
Knowing just when they were produced might help determine their value.
Pictures?
Regards,
Alan

I will head back over on Tues or Wed with a decent camera. Will look for the stamps, plus pics of the boxes they are in.

Don't need any mounting hardware, I was just wondering the value of these things. As Alan pointed out if I can posts the stamps and any extra tags someone who has a 69 sb who wants to be NCRS or numbers correct might want them. It would kind of be a waste to put them on my '72 when I read so many posts of ppl wanting to keep or rtn their C3's back to original.

Any NCRS guy pls chime in as I am not too up on this all and wouldn't want to steer anyone wrong. As I said earlier, I'll head out to his place later this week for some pics to post up. Anything else to look for as I'll likely destroy one of the boxes taking them out if history is any predictor of the future with me opening old boxes, lol.

Hopefully, you're in the funeral business and not just a guy with really bad luck?

No, our school had 3 students killed in a car accident, a father of another student and my best friend's father since childhood. I will try to get over there tomorrow to take some pics. Alan what/where would the extra tag be?

Setup and album in my profile called Sidepipes, 3 pics are there. They are for a sb and numbers match Willcox's post
