I run BFG 255-60-15 all around on the road, those are well behaving stock type tires wich under normal circumstances funktions OK both on the wet and dry.
I like the classic look with rised white letters and lots of rubber/high profile.
This is my car with the BFG 255-50-15 on the stock 8" rims.
I have Firestone Firehawk 255/60 and love them. Although I don't track this car so I can't attest to that, the tires have held up really well and I have no complaints
Thanks for posting this thread and comments. I have a 13+ year old pair of 245/60/15 Eagle GTs on my 68.
I haven't taken them further than around the block and 2 miles to the shop. I am really thinking of going with the 225/70/15 tires.
I just changed to a fiberglass monospring and went with 10" bolts to get the height I had before. The problem with the 10" bolt is that the spring now rubs against the left rear tire.
When I raise the nut to get the spring away from the tire and inside the wheel, I end up with raising the rear end.
A typical problem with the monoleafs, i have herad that some remove the steel reinforcement in the ends of the blade and simply chop off a section of the fiberglass. Then they glue the steel back in place and ajust the hole for the bolt with a drill.
I replaced my monoleaf with the dualmount instead witch dont have that problem (or the long bolt problem).

Do you have a link for the dualmount. I know some guys have had this problem with the 9 leaf replacement.
Shouldn't be this difficult. The spring should be shorter.
Jepp, the spring could be shorter.
The dualmount also offcourse have other fetures such as adjustable stiffness and i also think it is far less "spongy" than the centermounted one.
