Tonawanda, New York engine assembly plant. All Corvette big blocks were assembed at Tonawanda.
012I January 21st
CPJ Corvette code for 454 365hp with automatic transmission
...C11S108345...
C Chevrolet
1 Corvette
1 model year (1971)
1 car line series code (all 71s have this 1)
08345 consecutive unit number. The 8345th 1971 Corvette assembled.
Last January built car was #8230; last February build car was #10886. Your car probably passed the station on the assembly line where the trim tag was attached on Monday or Tuesday, February 1st or 2nd, 1971.
What is the time/build code in the upper right corner of the trim tag? My guess is G01 or G02.
Engine code and assembly date and the VIN derivitive appear to be correct for your car.
