Default Dash lights?

This winter I would like to fix the dash so I can see the speedo, tach, and everything in the middle. Anyone have any info on some LEDs or something like that? I don't want to drop a ton of bucks, jus make it so I can see ...

ripping the dash apart is no picnic,
1 reason people add LED's is so they never have to back into the dash again,
determine your Dash bulb# then its easy to shop around for different LED's.
If your going for cheap just replace the bulbs, new LED set will cost about $25 -50
depending upon LED selection.
here is a good LED supplier: www.SuperBrightLEDs.com

I'm doing these--seems ideal. You can adjust color and brightness any time.

Pull the cluster and pull out the driver's dash pad...then change the bulbs and make sure the grounds are connected. If you do only that, along with having a decent condition headlight switch, you will have no problem. If the headlight switch is "toast", throwing $$$ at LED's won't help you either.

Have you checked the IP fuse? Blown fuse = no lights.

One reason white LEDs look so blue on our gauges is because the gauge frame is painted blue.

This was done to make the warm orange light coming from the incendescent bulbs look white even when dimmed.

LED white lights tend to be blue-ish instead of warm so:

To get your LED lit dash to look more white, simply paint the gauge frame back orange where it was blue. Chevy Orange engine paint is perfect.
