I've used them years ago. No problems, tires were shipped to the installer I specified and they mounted them. But most tire shops around here will match tirerack pricing so doesn't make much sense mail ordering these days.
My brother uses tire rack all the time...he is pretty frugal. I recently went to tirebuyer for my firestone firehawk indy 500. With one of their rebate deals, noone could touch their prices.
I use tire rack all the time.... the last time, was for my C3 - I bought nitto 555s from them, their price was more than 50% less than the closest tire shop in my area - total price (shipping included)
Before was tires for my Spider... again, best price by 50%
Haven't used their road hazard, but at this point, even if I had to buy a local tire to replace; I'd still be money ahead.
one place said they only guaranteed the tires were made in the past 3 years
so i had a local shop order them and they were 2years old! i rejected them.no charge
Got my new set last week at Discount tire. Price was $8 higher than their web site, but they were in stock(no ship charge) and made 27-12
$417 out the door for 4.
And they improve 0-60 mph times by 0.3 seconds because they are 11# each lighter than my 1997 BFG's! 40 psi! Gotta love new tire technology!

Your first step is to take off 1 wheel/tire and weigh it. Stock wheels weigh ~25. So find out what your tires weigh now, then take a fish scale over to the tire store and weigh 2 different tires you might want. Then buy the lightest. (this tip from the book HOW TO MAKE YOUR CAR HANDLE
When i bought my c3 in 1990, the rear OVERSIZE tire/wheel was 65#! (Sold those wheels and went back to 15x8.) It was a heavy DOG. Now it is ~45! So the rear is down 20 each, the front down 15. The 11 refered to BFGs from'97 Now it feels real light Handles great!

Actually, I'm going to be ordering some Blizzaks for my daily car. Recall seeing a rebate for those, but guess I'll have to look a little harder. Like before, getting the wheels mounted on rims, TPMS, so good to go.
I've used them twice, and never any problems. I never used the road hazard warranty. The last time I ordered from them I received alone call from them telling me they found a cheaper means of delivery and saved me even more money, that's great service.
