You paid with a CC right? I had a similar situation with a small shop and they didn't want to cooperate. I called my CC company and filed a dispute...next day I had the money back. They said to take pictures, keep receipts, and write everything down. They get the money from the shop who can come back, but they have to prove your side wrong. They have 30 days (I think) to say anything or it's case closed. Fortunately, I never heard back from the shop.
Just an idea...it seems though that the money you already spent would be enough to fix the new problems somewhere else.
Kiethinspace...thx for the detailed explanation of how they could have done this. It makes sense, especially since this is the one piece of work he did w/o my advanced knowledge. They had to fix it ASAP. He didn't call me as agreed upon before doing anything other than the agreed upon work. Or he could have offered the standard upgrade copper line. He did tell me they had to order the replacement kit in.

I have discussed the dispute route with my CC. I was hoping for resolution but will pursue other means as needed. I may not get my car fixed by him... I was hoping he would even just split cost ...but I doubt that too. I will take care of my baby and make her whole again... People should do the right thing...
Copy that Indiancreek.... He should be careful... Cuz if he did this to me, there are others. There are forces that always balance things out and put things right in the world. We may never see it but that's okay.
