Did any Corvette come from the factory with G70-15 raised white letter Goodyear Polyglas tires?
No. 68-72 Corvettes all came with F70-15 tires. The Goodyear Polyglas were used, but only in the F70 size.
In 73, when Chevrolet went to radials, they switched from a F70x15 to a GR70x15.
I don't believe that the G70x15 was an OEM size tire on any car, no mater what make or year. I say this because I have a set of four 1972 vintage G70x15, Goodyear Polyglas GT's, that are in pretty good shape.
They've been laying around the shop for 30+ years. I'm not aware of any OEM application for them?
Goodyear Polyglas tires were never used in production on any Corvette... If it says "POLYGLAS," it's not for a Corvette.
As mentioned, original Corvette tires during the 1968-1972 period were nylon belted tires sized F70-15 available from Goodyear, Firestone, and occasionally U.S. Royal.
In 1973, Corvette tires were switched to radials sized GR70-15 and continued in that size until the switch to the p metric sizing was introduced.
