Well I stopped by the painters on the way to work to talk about some type of stripe. I have this vision of the 04 Lemanss blue/Luxo Blue with a metallic silver stripe with a thin red boarder stripe. I really wanted to break up the blue a litlle and use the stripe to tie in the red interior of the car. The interior is about as clean as I could expect and really did not want to change it out. I have seen this blue and red combo and I like it (although many may not) but I think I need some other color to break it up. My first thought was a hood scoop and take it from there but there appears to be complications with he crossfire injection and the car runs great so I do not want to open that can of worms.
Anyway below is a quick tape up of what the painter thought. (it is not even or straight or perfectly following the lines, just a quick visual).
I am not sure if I am sold on it. Any Thoughts or suggestions? More suggestions than negative thoughts please...
Looking good It is your intent to hand paint those stripes I presume. It does break up the solid look and adds the necessary flair, errr....personality
Strike this thread. I am just not convinced about this stripe idea. If I had a hood scoop then I see a stripe. To have a stripe just to have it just does not make it in my mind.
I have decided I am going classic. I am doing a Silver over Charcoal like the Silver Anniversary Model. That is the car I fell in love with when I was 18 years old and started this quest for a C3. I think a Silver Corvette is just classy looking and it will compliment my red interior ans when I put on my M1131 Blue Glass Tops they will look like they are supposed to be there as well.
