Since I bought a basket case the headlights never worked they were jammed in the down position. Upon inspection I discovered every piece of sheetmetal on the nose needed replacement along with the headlight actuator supports. We it's been a year since I started the rebuild of the entire car and we have progress. My headlights work ..They actually go up and down, this may not seem like much but it's a huge hurdle for me. I just have to fit the new TruFlex bumper and get the car into paint..
After this comes the suspension then paint.. It should take till spring.
Then I can finally take a this thing for a spin.

I had to clamp up my 74 like that to straighten out and secure the Fiberglas to the support. It works
But please DO NOT use a cinder block under your car again. It will crumble with warning at any time!!!
The more clamps the better. I also had to get the fiberglass into place. Yes I'm going to keep the same color alhough i did change the interior to black. the ce thing just didn't work for me. you can't go wrong with black. i also have a set of Coys C67 in my future.
[you are absolutely right i got a second set Jack stand that afternoon. thanks

Many years ago when I was in High School, after finishing an engine install and removing the cinder blocks under the car tires (not a corvette). I was carrying the cinder block a few feet to get it out of the way. It slipped out of my hand and fell onto the cement, only a few inches. When it hit the concrete, it broke into about 5 pieces! I thought to myself, "Wow".
I've never put another cinder block under a car since!
