just got a 79...need some advice
Hey all,
I just got a 1979 l-82. i am having a slight issue with the door. when i bought the car the lock on the drivers side would only open from the outside. when i got it home i tried to lock it and it worked but now i cant open the door ( from inside or out) i know the common thing to do you be to take off the panel and take the lock apart but i cant remove the panel without opening the door.... any ideas for how to get the door open?

I'm NOT laughing BUT the panel can be removed without opening the door..it required me to "modify" a few screw drivers by bending them and destroying a few clips (easily replaced) Had to do this on a 72 ... not a 79 .but since I also own a 79 I think the 79 may actually be a little easier ...still not fun..
IF the window is UP you may be able to get a wire (rod) down inside and trip the release handle I tried but had no luck what so ever...
