Just go to eBay Motors and type in your bulb number and then LED. Will find thousands of them. Just buy from a USA seller and all will be good. Can get a bag full for the same price that others charge for just a few bulbs.

I know you've already ordered the bulbs, but just as a note to anyone looking to install LEDs; you'll never know what you're going to get color wise off just the LED alone.

I can't speak to an earlier car, but the 78-82s have tinted housings and this affects the ultimate color as the bulbs fire against the housing and reflect around.

These are both "warm white" bulbs from SuperBrightLEDs .com

I picked "warm white" because it was the closest match in color temperature to an incandescent bulb.

Just FYI!

Default great thread.....

good info here, took advice from Shark Racer and ordered from
SuperBrightLEDs .com fast delivery.....I went with Natural White and a slightly different bulb than what Shark Racer did, as the Warm White was not available with the one's I selected.
Here are some pics, they may look dark to you in some spots, and they are to an extent, but look good otherwise, big improvement over stock.
If you look at the right side of the Amp gauge and the left side of the Oil Temp gauge, you will notice that they are slightly darker and they are, as the bulb does not seem to light up this area. It is more apparent with the Fuel and Temp gauges above, which the tops of those are darker. The only thing I can thin of is that I put the thin foam strip around the gauges durring assembly and that is inter fearing with that section of the gauge panel.
On the right side of the Tach, down @ "0", I cannot get a bulb to light in that section, no matter what I tried.
But they are lit better than what they look like and much better than before....
You can see the difference, Shark Racer's lights are brighter than what I have installed. If I can correct the slight variation , then I will be in good shape....
gesivette, how did you do with the Led's on the 74?

If you want to step it up a notch go with the kit from Atlanta Speedometer. You can make it any color or brightness you want. It really is a cool setup. Check post #8

SSRoadster - using a 9V battery I tested every socket and LED prior to installing. If that fails, you have a problem with the PCB somewhere.

It is not at all uncommon for the bulb sockets to be bad - I had a turn signal light out for over 10 years because the socket was bad.
