Thanks for that. This are to be considered. Do You know approximately how far they are from the box.

Now these are about what I want to get. Long tube and enough space beetwen them and the box. Thank You for that pic and the reply.

The clearance looks the same as the Herman headers above. My hand clears between the headers and the steering box with no problem. One inch or more.

I have a correction to make I am using tight tuck headers Jegs part number 737-H8027-1, not the block huggers as I stated before. Sorry for the confusion.

Glad it was helpful. Those have been on a car for two years and it's hard to tell they're not new.

Borgeson / small block = cakewalk. I converted with a BB and 1 7/8 coated Hookers. No choice but to relieve the frame and recess the box. Took me a week. I love it but a little to responsive over 100 mph. It is worth the trouble, you will be impressed.

427ci BigBlock with Hedman headers. I had to dimple them. It´s tight, but it works.

Regards, Günther

I couldn't bring myself to dimple my headers. There coated and I feared they would chip. I recessed my box into the frame 3/4 ". More work but satisfying. Nice though...

I thought the rack and pinion , set up would be worth the extra money on a big block car .but I heard the borg set works good to.just seems like such a tight fit with the big blocks.

I'm using the Hooker Super Comp headers (pn 2134) with my SBC and the Borgeson steering. Everything clears fine. BTW, these are 1 3/4" dia primary long tube headers.
