Default Worth being comfortable

Three months ago, I purchased a set of four ergo mats from PK Safety in various sizes for use in the shop. They are an easy inch thick, soft but firm. They are easy to clean too. They have held up really, really well and I haven't seen any detoriation yet, despite everyday use at the shop.

This recent shot is from working in the interior. The big one is on the floor and the smaller one is on the sill. How many of you guys working on the interior have knelt or laid on bare cold concrete for hours on end, only to get up sore and weary? I used this same set up working on the headlights a few weeks ago and last night on the lower control arm removal. You couldn't use a seat, because most of the work was under and behind the front disc brake, but the mats sure worked well!

It makes a huge difference in working on these cars, because if you're comfortable, you can work longer, be relaxed and not suffer later on. It was almost $145 for all four mats, one large one, a medium one and two small ones (the small ones are great for putting over the parking brake handle, when you're working on the interior!).

These are high quality items and very durable. I've seen other foam mats shrivel up and become potato chips at the shop, but not these! They are oil resistant too. Just wanting to share my experience with these mats for the guys who work on their C3's often.

Those mats look great. I use knee pads with gel inserts to work on mine.

We've tried those and they turned into dried potato chips in a matter of months if not weeks. The surface is porous and soaks up everything. They're not bad for the budget minded or someone who doesn't mind changing them out, we just wanted something thicker and easier to clean up.

Can't guarantee they won't burn, but the surface is 'polished' and I haven't seen any soaking up of any fluids. Grease and oil wash right off too. I use Lava soap to easily clean them and they come out like new again.

Compared to rubber floor tiles, these are much thicker (1" thick) and are nearly orthopedic grade foam! Plus, they are tough too! I really wanted to aim this thread at those who work on their C3's or other vehicles every day and on the weekends.

This is more of an ergonomic issue, because us old guys are a lot less sore, using these after spending hours in the interior or under the front end doing the headlights, thus my wanting to share this product.

Those sound really nice. Little spendy but cheaper than knee and back pains in the long run.
Thanks for sharing.
Is this the place? Which of these did you purchase?

Yep, well worth the dough. We were using them last night putting the lower control arms on the C3. Can't use a creeper, can't use a seat, but the Ergo Mats, hell yeah! Position them right in front or scoot them underneath. Add the lack of rib cage pain, when you use them on the door sill working under the dash! I'm not getting up totally sore from a couple of hours under there either.

I purchased two of the 5040 kneeling mats at $13 apeice, then a 5050 which is perfect sitting size, $37. Finally a big 5020 standing mat, but same material, $44. They're on sale right now.
