Who has the best carpet for a C3?
Ordered my MrMikes covers for the Fiero seats and now need carpeting.
So who has the best with minimal trimming. Does Corvette Central get theirs from Willcox or Al Knock or Paragon etc.
Tried doing a search on the forum and couldn't really find an answer.
I need so real world opinions from guys that have bought complete kits for their cars
Thanks

I think best quality is Al Knoch. If you want a decent carpet at a good price, ACC. That is who most of the vendors sell. I got mine from a vendor on the forum and was happy with it. It was from ACC. It is a little thin in places but it was easy to install with little trimming.
All depends on the quality and price you want to pay.

I was not happy with the quality of the ACC (Corvette America) carpeting that I received from Ecklers and sent it back. Most places sell their carpeting. I went with Mid America's carpeting and the quality of the 80/20 loops were much better and slightly thicker. Trim Parts sells carpeting also, but I have never seen any. Al Knoch has to be good, I would think. Lou.

Something to consider when you are deciding to choose carpet: Mid America Motorworks manufacturing division PERFORMANCE CHOICE carpets are developed from original Corvette carpet sets with the same materials, patterns, factory-correct colors and correct heel pad used by GM. Just an FYI!

MidAmerica may have a good 'grade' of carpet; but they don't have the factory color that my car came with. The only blue carpet is 'Midnight Blue'. Mine came with 'Medium Blue' carpets. Check to see that you have a good color match before ordering, if that matters to you.

I can vouch for Mid America's C3 carpet; the 80/20 loop. I've done a few cars in the past, and this project really turned out nice, and was half as much effort as I had anticipated - mostly because the fit, etc. was spot on. And, the adhesive (green stuff) works very well too.
Credit where credit is due, I say!

PS: Now if I can find some nice floor mats to really set the job apart. The carpet is red, but I was thinking black floor mats with 69 crossed flag embroidery would look spiffy. The old mats (came with the car) were too thick and bulky. something thin; maybe a cut pile type would be good. But, the dang things gotz ta stay put - a problem with light weight/thin mats, IMO. (I picked up maybe 40+ hp by removing the old floor mats...Talk about a cheap power adder (LOL).

I also checked MidAmerica's site. I saw there was no Dark Orange for my 1968 convertable offered. Maybe if you don't see your color you could call for availability. I was hopeing to see mine. MidAmerica you may want to chime in here.

We were thinking we could take the mats below:
http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette...-51-10069.html
And then instead have the 1969 nose emblem embroidered. We can also move the emblem to the middle of the mats. If you want to private message me your phone number, I can have someone contact you and figure out the details of exactly what you want. Otherwise just call 800-500-1500 and our sales team can figure out your order!
