OK, so im finally working on the 71' again. Frame close to being stripped fo all running gear and body. I'm really wanting to paint the frame silver/grey metallic, think it would look good, only thing is, where you'll see it in places like the wheel wells, I think that would look so good. Anyone have seen one or have pics of a stock frame in that color?
Whatever paint you use, just make certain that it is durable and solvent resistant FIRST, and "purty" second. Purty doesn't last long under the car, if the paint isn't sturdy/rugged.
Rosslato,
I like all the paint jobs on the frames. Now that I've seen it in silver, I must say that looks real nice. The red doesnt POP like that candy blue does
when working under the hood, everything kind of disappears in all the black, I think the silver frame rails would brighten it up while looking very nice too. Also, I thought about having to keep it clean, but I think road grime would show up less on silver than black.
