Default C3 paperwork availalble ?

I know build sheets and window sticker reproductions are not available for my 1968.

Is there anything I can obtain with the VIN that can tell me more about my car and how it came from the factory or dealer??

I know this has probably been discussed ad nauseum, but I couldn't find a thread on it.

Thanks all.

The VIN will tell you if it's a coupe or convertible, but that's about it.

If you belong to the NCRS, you can order a copy of the original shipping information, for your car. It will tell you the delivering dealer, the dealers's address, and the build date of your car. From that information, you may be able to track down the car's history.

Unfortunately, this is about the only info currently available, for pre 78 Corvettes.

You can check out the NCRS Shipping Data Service here.

For a fee, there are folks who will provide both, plus just about any other piece of "original" paper you might desire. You send them your information and your money. They send you brand new forty year old factory documentation.

Have you contacted previous owners to determine whether any of them might have some of the paperwork for your car?

Isn't it amazing how much paperwork is coming with all these auction cars today Seems like all the big blocks and early fuelies have all this paperwork that I never saw over the many years I've been in this hobby.

Hi,
The producer's ad clearly states the documents are a "Novelty, for show only, NOT OFFICIAL".
You mean some people are buying them and then saying they're original!?!?!?!
Why in the world would anyone do that?
Regards,
Alan
