During the interior redo of my 68 I found this bracket tucked up under the dash. It had the 2 vacuum override switches and a toggle switch attached. I know what the switches are for but have not seen a bracket that holds them that looks like this. Is this a factory bracket? It just doesn't look like all the others I have seen.
Could be. Do you have the AIM? There may have been two types of these. Early ones mounted off center; later mounted directly under the steering column.
Do you also have the electrical switch for the wiper over ride?

Have the electric switch that was in it but it was a simple toggle switch
I do not know where it originally mounted as the drivers side lower dash has been replaced Probably why it was tucked up out of sight
Roger that. I am assuming the over rides mount under the steering column on your replacement dash pad. If so, you will probably need a slightly different bracket.
The two vacuum override switches fit in the two holes that are the same size. The other holes has a TURN-type switch mounted in it (not a toggle switch). This one is for turning OFF the wipers so that you can change blades in the middle of their stroke. Turn the wipers ON using the center console switch; then, turn them OFF with the turn-switch when the blades are where you want them. The factory switch was capable of handling 15-20 amps, as it had the entire wiper motor current running through it. Any switch (of that capacity) will do. Most simple toggle switches aren't capable of that amount of current on a continutous basis.
