5'11 and stocky here. I have the seat in my 79 4spd forward a click or 2, can't remember exaclty which one. I know all the way back is too far back for me. As far as head clearance, I haven't had my t-top liner in for years, can't get it to stay, and I've tried everything. But, with the liner in, my baseball hat would rub the liner. Not the easiest car to get in and out of with the tops on!
