Need help fender adjustments

The gap on your driver door can be closed a fair bit by lifting the door vertically. If you look at the top of the door and the top of the fender, the door has dropped straight down (not on an angle) but directly down almost as if it has slid down. Your vertical gaps are not too bad, but by lifting the door straight up, the curved gap will close dramatically.
I have edited your picture in a graphic program and lifted the door straight up to show you the effect it will have of closing the gap at the top and leaving the vertical gap alone. Hope this helps a bit.

Opened image in Gimp (I use linux - a photoshop type program) and then created a mask around the door (selected the door part of the picture). This effectively gave me two parts of the picture. I just moved the door part upwards and saved the image.
If you look at the top of the door on the right hand edge of the image, you can still see the original top of the door.
I know that this works for real because I did it on my 73 which had similar bad gaps in that part of the door/fender.
