Default validating numbers

I am about to pull my block out and I am on the fence about tearing it down and rebuilding it or just purchasing a new crate motor so I can by pass the head aches and the extra time and money it will cost me. I am concerned I as when I bought the car the guy told me it was the original motor. I have the block stamp small numbers C11S120244 and the large numbers V0615CJL. Can someone help me out. I do plan on restomoding the steering and suspension on her so will that detract on overall worth? This is my life insurance policy I will leave my wife when I die....

Post your VIN number. The first set of letters will match the back end of the VIN.

Corvette small block assembled at Flint on June 15. CJL identifies the base engine 270hp 350CID.

The consecutive unit number for your 71 should be 20244.

I hope you've got life insurance other than a car- not good investments in the long run.

Any non-reversible modifications made to a car tends to decrease their value to most buyers.
