What is mt t/t column missing?

Default What is mt t/t column missing?

I need your help guys I need to know what is supposed to go behind where the steering wheel mounts. I have everything but that. I know its something behind there that makes the horn work. When stuff is missng its hard to know what to order.

That's the expert link.
To me, it looks like the c-clip retainer is partially missing and the spring is gone.

These are the parts Tim is talking about. Looks like there may be some sort of Bubba retainer there now.

There's also the horn contact button that goes thru the hub, I'm guessing that you dont have that either.

The FSM has a really nice layout, with pictures and instructions! May also be in the Chassis Overhaul manual, not sure which, but I've seen it in one or the other that I have.

This is scanned from the AIM book. Part #12 has a large spring on the underside that rests on the horn contacts that are spaced between the legs of the plastic retainer that covers the c-clip.


From your picture, you need a new plastic retainer.
