I was watching Mecum tonight... a 68 just came over the block and I noticed the windshield wipers were covered by a panel of some type... I never noticed that before, a very cool detail for sure... My question is, how does it operate? anyone have pics of it raised ? Love the C3 style, especially the early chrome bumper cars..

All 68-72s had vacuum operated wiper doors.

No. It raises up then backwards a little to allow clearance for the wiper arms.
If they are in good condition they will be very rare. When a door is removed from a 68-72 car for the first time, there's about a 95% chance one of the four attaching bolts will snap off leaving a threaded stud inside the mounting hole. I needed a door in good condition and I went to J&D Corvette's salvage yard. They had a bin with about 50 doors in it! I went through all 50, and of course, it was only went I got down to the last 2 or 3, I found a door with four good mounting holes; i.e. no broken studs in them.
The 68 door is slightly different that the 69 - 72 door. They differ in the way that the stainless steel trim piece attaches to the ends of the door. They are interchangeable and you have to know where to look to tell the difference. Given a choice, you'd use the 69 to 72 door instead of the 68.
If you have a door with a broken stud, Paragon can remove it. But the one door they did for me appears to have an insert installed not accurately orthogonal. Could be wrong. I'd probably try a call to Jerry's Tap and Die in Santa Ana, Ca. They specialize in broken stud and distressed thread repair. They remove broken studs, if all fails, with a electric discharge erosion technique. Awsome
