Rear end decoding help
Is there a site that shows how to decode the numbers for engine, trans and rear end?
I have a rear end that has the following numbers:
OK159 V(?)8E1 Can anyone help?
Also, I can pull the stub axles out about 1/4", is that normal?
If the ceri-clips are off the stub axle, will the axles come out?
Thanks
CJ

The play sounds excessive and it is very common when the rear end yokes get worn.
The yokes will also flare on the ends if worn badly and prevent you from pulling them out. Sometimes we have to tap them out with a small hammer.
