The 078 above is actually 07B. 07 for July, B for second week of the month. The second week of July in 1982 was the 4th through the 10th, with the 4th being a holiday. The 12th is possible only if the car was still on the line on a Friday and there was no overtime on Saturday or the car was placed on the line on Saturday, and either way finished on the Monday.

Updated version 1.5 today to fix a bug related to 78 and 81 model years. 78 because of Pace Car issues and 81 due to assembly at StLouis or Bowling Green.
