It's because they aren't real C7 emblems. They've been selling those for years.

I've seen them at swap meets for awhile, last time was a year ago, $10 each, plastic.

IF I buy a C7 it would be a ZO6 if they ever make one with a V8, not a turbo V6, the first thing I do when I get the car home is remove those damn dead fish!

Well I feel like a big idiot now. I guess I'll just spray em' matte black and be done with it.

Do that. I'm also painting my crossed flags emblem on my 80' the same color as the one in your avatar.

I just don't see the logic in putting emblems on a C3 that aren't suppose to be there in the first place.

I've seen that design as inside door handles but they are chromed aluminum for $225. Not sure how those plastic ones will last, you would have to be careful washing them.

How careful are you talking about? I don't see how water, soap, and a microfiber towel would do any damage to it. I have had a mustang since 2009 and they all have plastic emblems. With no garage it sits outside and the emblems still look great and shiny...no scratches.

Just buy '81 emblems, they're already black

I had the parts guy look the emblems up. The 2014 Corvette isn't even in the parts catalog yet. He said they would probably add the C7 at the beginning of summer, depending on when they start selling them to the public. The only 2014 car you can get parts for right now are the Impala and Spark

Not available from any dealer, these things are all just concept reproductions. There has been a few different versions over the years. Like the ones on Paul's car. There are a few different suppliers with a few different versions, and I do believe that some of them are actually chromed metal.

I thought about buying a pair (when they were $35) and mounting one to my glove box door and the other on my tool box. Unfortunately, I didn't get to them before the C7 was released. I just took my old 77 gas door emblem, cleaned it, sprayed it the same gunmetal color as my center console and I'm gonna mount that to my glove box instead.

I'm guessing once the part number is released for the emblem by GM, they will start flooding ebay..

FYI-
My local Chevy parts counter tells me that the parts listing for the C7 has not been released yet so no part number for the 'Stingray' emblem is available at this time.
