Default C7 Stingray Emblem

I recently bought two C7 emblems for my 1980 Corvette off ebay, if you have any pictures of your C3 corvette with the new stingray emblem on it please post em here. So that I know the appropriate place to place the emblem on the fender.

There is no "appropriate" place as they never came on the C3....

I believe Paul 74 has them on his car. These are not the C7 emblems as I believe these were a on a prototype back in the early '70s.

The front forward edge of the rocker panels. That's where I'd place them. This way they don't "stick" out, but blend into the stainless steel.

I asked this question to the seller 4-weeks ago on e-bay. Never recieved a response. So I assumed they were plastic. Back then the price was $45.00 Now there a lot more $$ and cheap!

Did they come in a GM box with the part number?
I wonder what the cost is from the dealer?
