When I go to get my car judged for Survivor, there is a Mandatory Parking on Friday and Judging is on Sunday. Does this mean the car has to stay parked there all weekend?
Anyone with experience on having a car judged at Bloomington care to shed some light on what to expect. Would stink to be car-less for the weekend and driving 2 down would suck too.... coming all the way from north of Detroit

So I contacted Bloomington and the Car sits all weekend.
I guess I'll have to shuttle or Taxi to the Hotel...
Anyone know if you are being judged for Survivor, should I take my Speaker Bar out for the Show?
I plan on switching my Floor mats to the Originals and T-Tops switch from my Mirrored ones back to the Originals for the Show.
I have a re-production Manual in the Glove Box, is that a Negative or a Positive for Survivor?
I had my 68 SURVIVOR Certified in 2009. I would remove the speaker bar and put the original T-Tops and mats back. If I recall correctly, no documentaion is judged in the SURVIVOR certification. Please contact me if you have any questions 908 910-4800. Good luck.

Survivor means the car is original.
Any other tips?
Judging is expensive. Why not attend this year as a spectator and see how things work? Watch what goes on, talk to people, etc. Come back next year and enter.

I kind of wanted to be Judged just to find out what is Original and What is not and What Percentage and to learn more about my Car. I plan on going to some NCRS meets as well just to learn more about my Car.
I just found out about the Tray above the Jack the other day... so I keep finding out stuff all the time.

You'd be much better off joining your local NCRS chapter and have them look at the car.
Hi km,
Since you mention that you want to learn about what's original on your car and what isn't you might want to verify that the judging sheets are sent to you so you can see all the judges notes.
I know the NCRS Flight Judging sheets are sent to the owner, but I'm not sure about BG Survivor.
Perhaps Jax can comment.
Regards,
Alan
I agree with Mike that a NCRS Chapter Judging Event might be a good first step for you.
In 2009, when mine was certified, a one page form with the results was given to the owner at the end of the judging event.

Already Joined NCRS and my Local Chapter.
Waiting for Spring to do just that.
The Bloomington Gold thing just seemed like it would be fun and informational.
I plan to do more NCRS stuff as well when it comes up.
...I plan on heading back to Bloomington in 2014 for "Survivor" with my '74 coupe. It would be a great deal cheaper to take your car to either an NCRS Regional or Chapter Meet and when you have it judged ask them(the actual judges)about the originality that they feel it is and your chances of either Survivor or Bowtie. I attended Bloomington from '92-'06 and the Survivor program is by far my favorite. Love seeing the original cars and the history behind them.
