Default Horny Question

I just removed these two horns from my 70 for refurbishing and as you can see in the photo one has a straight bracket (12V 9000246, 0D3) and one has a bent bracket (12V 9000245, 0D4). Are both brackets supposed to be straight?

Lascivious answer: both are probably supposed to be straight.

That's what I originally thought, but these look like they got bent:

Anybody know for sure?

Here are some more that appear to be bent:

Can anybody please verify how the brackets are supposed to be?
Maybe take a look under the hood?

I've been accused of talking to myself but this takes it to a higher level.

Checked the part number for a 66 and it is the same for a 70.... so went out & looked at my 66 horns... sure enough... the brackets are bent so that the horns are vertical on the 66 radiator support. Case closed.

Thanks me.

Edit... part number in the vendors catalogs is the same but the actual OEM parts are NOT the same. 1966 horn 9000487 6D3 bracket has no indexing tabs on the bracket like the 1970 horn has, and, the bracket is clocked differently. Back to the drawing board. Going to visit a friend with a correct 72 to solve this.
