We have had several requests for a Steeroids group purchase over the past few weeks so we figured we should start a thread to see how much interest there is. There needs to be enough participation for it to be a proper GP so let's first see who's interested and then we can start the actual sale.
This will be for all Corvette Steeroids rack and pinion conversion kits. Participating in the GP will get you a 15% discount off the list price. For C2 and C3's the discount price is $1104.15 (the list is $1299) and for C1's the discount price is $1699.15 for a power kit with a paintable column (list is $1999) or for a powder coated or chrome column $1806.25 (list is $2125).
EDIT
We now have enough people from all the forum sections ready to go ahead that we can start this GP. To order you can order online or call 888.425.2776. Mention that you are a forum member and give your forum name. For online ordering you must write this in the notes on the order form. The discount will be applied after the order is submitted but before it ships. EDIT
I've had a steroids setup for a couple years now. Nice piece. Easy install.
Header clearance is an issue with some brands of headers. I've got hookers, fit like a glove, well, like OJ's glove, a bit tight, but didn't have to dimple the header. Steering is light and fast, with recommended alignment numbers and stock tire sizing.
I installed Steeroids in my '80 last summer. Anyone on the fence about buying Steeroids should follow-up on this offer of a group purchase. I great set-up that makes the C3 just that much better than factory stock.

Highly recommended.

Hey Mike I have a loose feeling in mine, what did do to tighten up the slack in the U-joints?

Never had slack in any of the joints. Tight as a tick's a$$ from day one.
Maybe the joins aren't oriented the right way? Don't know if it would make a difference or not. Maybe SD can chime in.
As for header clearances, the sd website has a section on headers. What will clear, what won't, without modifications. My under car true duals, out of hooker super comps fit with no issues.
1. Shipping is not included in the price. Typical costs are around $60.
2. It will fit Hooker sidepipes. In some cases a small dimple is required. This can be accomplished without damaging any chrome or ceramic coating. We have had many customers instal Steeroids on sidepipe cars. Check out our header clearance page.
3. silver79, send me a pm or email and we can work through any possible issues. My first suggestion is to have a look at your lower bearing on your steering column. It may be worn and in need of replacing. You can also download our troubleshooting guide herh or you can use our web tool http://speeddirect.com/Steeroids_Troubleshooting.htm
4. Thanks Dodosmike, we appreciate the business and the endorsement.
