I had seen this car several times driving by. Always wondered what was with the nose. This time I stopped:pg[/IMG] Guy said it was a '71, and that he had the interior, motor and trans too. They are probably as well taken care of as the body/frame which had rocker rot. It was too grown up around the back to get a decent pic.
Anyone know about that tilt-front? All I could tell is that the center is

But it is a convertible... the friggin top is worth some coin, and that "mako" nose is rare as well. Don't write it off as just a bunch of scrap glass... there are some bucks to be made if the parts are marketed correctly! If all four of those Fenton (?) rims are there there's another $300 or so, perhaps more. I would offer $500 and drag it home knowing that even if it is rusted in half I could double my money or better in only a few weeks... and it might be solid enough to save though I doubt it.

The owner said his father got it for him, but he wanted a Camaro. Said it had a godawful psychdelic paint job, and his father and a friend set about stripping it. They went way too deep on the tilt hood, down to bare 'glass. You can see Brands Hatch Green showing on the doors. He said interior was green. It is a 'vert, and the roof didn't look too bad.
I too have been thinking about the parting out. It would have to be REAL cheap though. It saddens me to see the neglect of this car. I don't think he knows what he had. Said he still had the 3-speed Rock-Crusher it came with.
I'm getting nauseous...
Alan71, I'm still laughing about the claybar, in between the sorrow and waves of nausea that are wracking me.

Simce it is a vert, you can make some money on it for sure. Check prices for used hard tops, vert roof chrome and soft top frames. People say run, I say if you can get it cheap enough run toward it. Most c3s are worth more in pieces than together.
