Default Differences in Blue Paint Colors?

Hey guys, I'm having my 82 corvette repainted and I need an answer on my paint choice tomorrow.

I really like this blue here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1581848228-post77.html (69 Lemans Blue)

Where as I also really like this blue here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3s-...etrain-ny.html (70 Mulsanne Blue)
However, this is also a 70 mulsanne blue, and it looks completely different: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1581860353-post87.html
As well as this being a 70 mulsanne blue

Is there a difference in the color? It looks about the same to me, not sure on how I should go about deciding. Two different paint names but same color to my eyes, and same paint name but two different colors. Can someone help me out here on what to pick? My personal preferences, I want the car to look exactly like the blue paint on the first or second one. Love the way it shines in the light. Thanks

For what it's worth the '69 Camaro was available in LeMans blue. The point for that statement was this. I was at Carlisle some years back for the GM Nationals which attracts lots of Camaros. A friend of mine who restores muscle cars and I could not help but notice how many LeMans blue Camaros were there (including his) and how many variations of LeMans blue there were. Some seemed to be more silver, some more green tint, some darker, some lighter, you get the idea. Don't get me wrong most of them were slight and hard to notice but they were not all the same. Lots of variables come into play here like the mix, the painting conditions, the base coat, ect. Paint a test panel before you paint the entire car to make sure you're happy with what you're going to get.

To me the second one appears to be a darker blue than the first one. I think either of the first two are real nice.

The second website is not Mulsanne Blue. It might be Bridgehampton Blue ('70-71; same as my avatar) or it might be Targa Blue ('72)...but it's not Mulsanne. The car in the third website IS Mulsanne Blue.

There is also International Blue ('68), Marina Blue (C2 color), and about a dozen other Corvette blue colors. Good luck with your choice.

with an 82 I think those blue choices will look bad because there so old school blue . 80 to 82 had a really sharp dark blue metallic ... Have you see that color ?

For me whether a paint colour originally came on an old or a new car has no effect on how much I like it.

I got ya .. I just always thought of those blues as bad attempts at a blue especially the older blue interiors .. And not being a fan of blue had my car not been such a dark blue i would have walked from it .

Yep. That's a nice color, as well. Loved the '65 Nassau Blue coupe with white interior and F.I. engine! That color would also look great with the '68-69 Bright Blue interior.

Nice car, BTW.
