Hallo...Corvette newbie here... again
My '73 has a chevy 402 engine with this carburetor...it runs pretty good and I know it's a Holly but I have no idea which model or size is it. ??..maybe a 650?
..and is it a good fit for that engine ??
....If you could tell me your opinion on Holly carbs it would be great

The 80555 is a Holley direct replacement carb, for the factory Q-Jet. It features a spread bore bolt pattern, just like the Q-Jet, so that it will bolt right onto the stock intake. Holley still makes them, and they list for around $400.
Personally, I prefer the Q-Jet, for street duty. The Holley is easy to work on, and it's easy to change things, like the jets. We run them on all of the vintage racers, I work on. I've just always found the Q-Jet to be a nice, simple and reliable carb.
