On my '76, on the climate controller, the right dial that you can turn the air from cold to hot gets stuck if i turn it all the way to cold. I've disassembled it and then it works fine. When i re-install everything it gets stuck again. I noticed the filler plastic around the shift lever might have been going to far forward and maybe jamming into, so i clipped off a 1/2" or so and the dial is still getting stuck.
A stab in the dark.
Is it a auto? Do you still have the frame underneath the climate control? Have you tried to pull the console up a bit and then turn the wheel (open ash tray door). Quite a few people myself included have the problem of the wheel interfering with the shifter cable where its held in place to the tunnel bracket. The wheel turns fine until the shifter console is fixed in place so I added some nylon washers underneath the 4fixation points and didn't fully tighten them down

mine is an auto, i haven't messed with any frame work yet. I could try and find me some small washers and try that out...it does seem to operate fine until i put the console trim down.
In the process of putting my centre console back together and had the same issue, try loosening the screws at the front and rear sides of the centre console and lifting it up a little, the front holes are oval shape and allow a bit of movement.
Dave in Spain had a thread about the same issue a couple of days ago so it's probably that one https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...trol-dial.html
With the "infinite scroll" on threads now sometimes if you scroll down on a thread it'll bring up similar threads and if you don't notice that it went to there.... you can post to that one instead of the one you were reading...
