Default 69 Side Vents

How should the side vents operate on a AC car? I assume closed with AC on, open when vent is on and closed when heat is on. Should the pull ***** in the dash adjust the AC and heat air flow?

For factory air, both left side vents are closed off (cowl and kick panel). No outside air comes through them. Dash vent ball is ducted to the HVAC. Right side has kick panel vent only; dash vent ball is closed off on the cowl (same as the left side) and is ducted to the HCAC.

Dash vent ***** only close or open the air flow through the vent *****.

Do you have the asssembly instruction manual (AIM)? The AIM has assembly diagrams for all of the HVAC system and a diagnostic troubelshooting page. Air routing (AC, heat, or fresh) is controlled with selector doors.

The diagnostic page is in the C60 section. It tells you what is open/closed for the various HVAC functions. It also lists the correct vac hose colors.
