That's the right clamp. It was used on all Corvettes, from 67-82. As others have said, flip it over.

Guys, had the chance finally to look at this problem! I flipped it over, but now the screw supplied with the clamp is too short...

Buy a longer bolt- And make it stainless while you're at it!

Me i would have strip the threads off before coming here to learn i did it wrong.
