I was at a car show this past weekend and someone drove up in a 1967 stingray; blue with white stinger stripe.
I heard the guy talking to someone about the car...
He bought it new in 67 and has owned it ever since. He put about 14k miles on the first year and then parked it. It currently has 16K miles not it.
Oh, and in 67 he took this girl on a date in the car. She is now his wife.
He still has both.
Short, but sweet.

Nice story. Both are keepers. I bought my 65 in 1971 with 32,000 miles on it. Still have it today but have driven it over 200,000 miles. Met my wife in 1974 while I was driving my 65. Took the car on our honeymoon in 78. Still have the wife and the Vette

Sounds like he is living the American Dream. GREAT STORY!
I didn't ask any follow-up questions about the car or his wife. There was a decent group of people looking at the car, so I didn't want to try to push my way through. And there were so many people that there wasn't any really good picture taking opportunities. But I will keep you guys posted. I get the feeling he will be back.
I talked to 2 different guys at a NCRS meet last weekend that bought their 68 and 69 new when single, shortly later got married, and took the vettes on their honeymoons. One had 30xxx miles and the other had 69xxx miles. Both still married to the same gals. The 68 guy parked his for 18 or 19 years, & did not run it the whole time, then finally cleaned the carb, and it cranked right up.
Interesting and strange to me to say the least, I have always swapped play toys a lot more frequently. Luckily still married to the original gal though.
