I found on the floor of my 82 under the fuse block a round thing with two wires, one on each side with blade connectors on the ends? When I get home later I will post pics. I have no idea what it is. Anybody
Well, if it was a "round thing" with 2 wires..90 degrees from each other..that would mean your 'flux capacitor' had become dislodged from its socket. If the "item" is a small cylinder with wires out each end, it is probably the radio noise suppressor that was connected at the brake light switch.

They are also sometimes across the plugs on the turn signal or emergency flasher to eliminate the pop, pop, pop, from the points in the flasher making and breaking. These will have a male brass spade on each end. mike...
It's a capacitor, installed across a circuit to eliminate alternator whine. In the days of mostly AM radio it was used a lot on any circuit that supplied a radio and also across speaker connections.
That was the brake switch radio noise suppressor. And, it was installed at the factory....just like that, with the blue splice-clips....for a number of years.
So, it isn't the 'flux capacitor'...just the radio 'noise' capacitor.
