62, my c3 is the third vette I have owned since 1972. I only feel old when I look in the mirror or there is a cold front coming through! ( more accurate than the weather channel). Been on the internet for a long time. My 25 yr old son wanted to know how we used to buy parts for these cars back in the day. I told him they had this thing called a catalog, you call them up ( not on a cell phone either), you pay them their money and they send you a catalog. Just like the Sears Christmas catalog. Oops, I forgot there are a lot of you youngsters that have never seen a Sears Christmas Catalog!

Well I was born in 1953 (A youthful 59). Maybe that's why I'm addicted to Corvettes I've been driving Corvettes since 1971 when I was 18. Still have that 65 convertible that I bought in 71 for $1,500
hehe, just poking some fun at the... wiser crowd. I'm 26 and I recently bought my first corvette from an older gentleman. During our first conversation I asked him to email me some more detailed shots before I make the trip. He said something along the lines of "my neighbor took the shots and put them on the internet. We don't get the internet in our house. We don't even have a computer." Guess it stuck with me and I'm a stereotyping bastard =P
have some respect.
a lot of us did not have a place to post questions.
we had to figure it out.
count yourself lucky there is a place to pick our brains.

This is EXACTLY how we found our 71! The owner didn`t have a computer, and his neighbor put pics on the internet for him.
Oddly enough, the owner was about the same age as me!
70, have a '75 vert and an '82 EC. My wife is still raisin' the kid she married! We started out with a '59, 2X4, 4sp, posi traction, for the day it would run.
That's about what I expected how it would turn out. These cars were a big part of people's lives back when they were contemporary. We used to DREAM about these machines even though many of us in the upper age groups were not old enough or prosperous enough at the time to afford one. That's my take anyway.
Hi,
68
I started using an IBM system that filled a large room in 1969.
My mac, that I'm holding on my lap, has far greater capability.
No, I'm not on Facebook, nor do I tweet, but I'm not still back in 1969.
Regards,
Alan
Part of my first summer job was to collect the punchcards from the IBM 360 machine and then...and then....well, I don't remember but I did something with them!!
For those who don't know, the IBM 360 was a very and I mean very large floor standing computer. Sort of like a Univac (heh, heh, I'll really confuse them now Alan!!).
